The first Saturday of each month The Pig's Ear Tavern, located at 144 Brock Street in downtown Peterborough, present their monthly "Blues for Food" series from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. A group of local musicians host the event and feature a line up of special guests each month. The final set includes an open jam session. The suggested admission to the event is a $2 cash donation. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the YWCA Food Action Program.
The YWCA Food Action program is a critical component to the welfare of Peterborough County, providing food to people in need, advocating for the hungry and educating the public about hunger related issues.
